Royal Aldeburgh with Aldeburgh Museum
Royal Reminiscences
As part of the Jubilee celebrations in Aldeburgh, we will be running a small exhibition of photos and memorabilia of visits to our seaside town by the Royal Family throughout the 20th Century. Did you know for example that the Queen made a rare second visit to open Snape Maltings a second time? Did you know that Prince George Duke of Kent the fourth son of George Vth visited the Town?
The exhibition will launch on Monday 30th May and will run every day for two weeks when we’re open between 1-4pm.
There will also be a fun children’s activity to keep our younger visitors amused. Find all the Royal related pictures to win a prize.
From bad King John to good Queen Bess
On Thursday 2nd June, in collaboration with the Jubilee Hall, the storyteller, the Yarnsmith of Norwich will be telling some royal tales in the Jubilee Hall. These 30 minute sessions are free to attend throughout the afternoon at 2pm, 3pm and 4pm.
NOTE THE STORYTELLING IS IN THE JUBILEE HALL NOT THE MUSEUM.
The Jubilee Hall is a short, 5-minute walk towards town from the Moot Hall. See directions HERE
